Scout Pack and Troop 148
The Vietnam Veterans Chapter 20 and School #14 charter Pack
and Troop 148. This collaboration of two organizations has given
many boys the opportunity to be a part of scouting. School #14
offers the building for meetings and The Vietnam Veterans offer
the financial support to keep the pack and troop running.
The Veterans have been sponsoring our pack and troop since
1989. Most of our families would not be able to afford the cost
of registration, uniforms, and books. Through the generosity of
the Veterans we are able to cover these costs, plus go on field
trips, do a variety of projects, have snacks at meetings and go
to summer camp.
The financial support is only a part of what they offer.
Their organization is always there to lend a hand. When we have
our pinewood derby race at school one or two of the Vets are
available to help. The scouts are invited to the annual holiday
party in which they are made to feel like they are the most
special children there.
We are extremely lucky to have The Vietnam Veterans Chapter
20 chapter our pack and troop. They truly make a difference in
our boy’s lives.
